George Willima

Overview

Based in Lundazi, Eastern Province, George has been a Headman for more than 20 years and is an Induna and representative of Chief Kapichila.

Currently, George is Headman for 2 villages in Chief's area; the villages have a combined total of 120 households with a population of around 1,000 subjects. The Kapichila Chiefdom comprises 400 villages. 

George has a vital role in highlighting the challenges rural communities face when accessing appropriate healthcare. He arranged site visits and meetings for the MTS team with senior staff at Health Posts, district hospitals, community pharmacies and a nursing and midwifery school in the Lundazi area, which provided real insight into the complexities and logistical challenges faced ever day.
